BURIED DECEIT

It’s the stuff legends are made of…

Growing up deep in the Florida Everglades, FBI Special Agent Cassidy Knox has heard the rumors whispered about Confederate gold buried in the swamp, but the area is full of tall tales. Much like the notorious Skunk Ape, she dismissed it as just another myth… until a hurricane barrels through Gator Glade.

When a mysterious stranger tries to pawn a dozen gold coins supposedly washed up by the storm’s fury, Cassidy’s assigned the case. But what begins as a routine investigation quickly takes a treacherous turn. Forced to question enemies from her past, tempers turn explosive. The lines between her personal and professional lives blur. And a corpse discovered on a remote trail suggests that nothing’s as it seems.

Was the treasure really uncovered by the storm, or is something more sinister at play? The truth is buried deep, and someone’s not happy that Cassidy won’t stop digging for it.

Get ready for a wild crime thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. Perfect for fans of the Chief Maggie Riley series.
